Curriculum Structure
The new proposed university undergraduate program of the Department was structured according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and its basic principles are as follows: The Curriculum is structured in eight semesters and includes a total of 54 courses (34 Compulsory and 20 Compulsory Electives) of a total of 240 credits (ECTS). Each semester includes 5 courses, a total of 30 credits. Only Compulsory Courses are offered in semesters A, B, C and D. In E’ and F’ four (4) Compulsory Courses are offered and the student is obliged to choose one (1) more Compulsory Elective from a total of ten (10) courses. Finally, in semesters G’ and H’ three (3) Compulsory Courses are offered and the student is obliged to choose two (2) more Compulsory Electives from a total of ten (10) courses. To obtain the degree, the student must be successfully examined in a total of forty (40) courses and receive 240 ECTS.
